Our journey in agriculture began with the wisdom passed down from our grandfather. But it was the introduction to SEKEM and the Economy of Love (EoL) that truly transformed how we farm today. Through EoL, we’ve received ongoing training in organic and sustainable farming, from how to improve soil health using compost, to managing farm waste more efficiently. These workshops and field visits have helped us adopt better practices for every part of the process

For the past seven years, we’ve been growing more than just cotton, we’ve been growing a relationship rooted in trust, sustainability, and shared purpose. Partnering with EBDA (Egyptian Biodynamic Association), we’ve been working side-by-side with farmers across 150 feddans of land to cultivate not only cotton, but also artichoke, clover, and wheat, all farmed using biodynamic methods.

We’ve become deeply connected to this way of farming. It’s not just about profit it’s about protecting the land and growing food that’s safe for our families. As parents, we care about what we feed our children, and biodynamic farming gives us peace of mind. We’ve truly fallen in love with this clean, sustainable way of agriculture.

Insetting

Growing Our Values From the Ground Up

At Concrete, we believe climate responsibility starts from within.
That’s why we practice insetting working directly with the farmers and partners in our supply chain to reduce our carbon footprint at the source.

Instead of offsetting emissions through distant projects, we support biodynamic farming, composting, and tree planting on the very farms that grow our cotton.

This isn’t just good for the planet it’s good for the communities we work with, creating a cycle of regeneration, fairness, and shared value.

The fashion industry has a significant environmental impact, particularly in terms of carbon emissions. Cotton cultivation releases large amounts of CO2 due to the use of synthetic fertilizers and farming machinery, while factory operations, including spinning, weaving, and sewing, rely heavily on energy-intensive processes that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions.

By choosing Concrete, you’re supporting a carbon-neutral organization where every purchase helps reduce emissions and promotes sustainable practices globally and by that you become part of the ecosystem of having a more sustainable environment and you made your share of being an active member in the society.
