Nestled along the banks of the Nile River in Upper Egypt, El Fangary farm is located in a city of breathtaking beauty and rich history, Qena, which is blessed with abundant sunshine and fertile land nourished by the Nile, that has made it a vibrant agricultural hub since ancient times. From the early Pharaonic period to the present day, the people of Qena have relied on the land to grow a wide variety of crops. The city boasts a wealth of ancient temples and monuments, such as the stunning Temple of Hathor and the magnificent Temple of Dendera, which date back to the Ptolemaic and Roman periods. Now Qena is contributing to climate change mitigation efforts through initiatives like those of El Fangary farm which is transitioning to biodynamic agriculture.
