The EoL Standard is certified by the Center of Organic Agriculture in Egypt (COAE) – which is an Egyptian certification body, accredited by the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC) according to ISO 17065. In addition to the certification, COAE is validating and verifying the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) statements of the EoL licensees according to ISO 14065:2020 and ISO 14064-3:2019.
.
The EoL standard was developed and is legally owned by the non-profit Organization of the Egyptian Biodynamic Association (Demeter Egypt).
The validation is based on the EoL project design document provided by the Carbon Footprint Center (CFC). To avoid double accounting, each EoL project certificate receives a serial number connected to invoices, issue date and amount of t CO2. The CFC is certified according to ISO 14064-1 2018 at the organization level and ISO 14064-2:2019 at the project level for quantification monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reduction or removal enhancement standards.
The EoL standard provides governance, certification criteria, and an online platform for tracing and carbon registering. In addition, the EoL is managing the EoL carbon registry. The EoL governance is structured according to ISO 17067.
The EoL Carbon Registry is published under the website of EoL but managed solely by the CFC.

The Egyptian Biodynamic Association (EBDA) is an independent farmers’ association, officially registered as an NGO with the Ministry of Social Affairs in Egypt, with registration number Listed No: 336.
Demeter Egypt, as the largest Egyptian organic/biodynamic farmers association, is also a member of the Biodynamic Federation Demeter International (BFDI), IFOAM International and the Cool Farm Alliance.
The Economy of Love (EoL) standard was developed and established by the EBDA. In addition to the EoL standard, EBDA is also in charge of the Demeter trademark and is thus authorized by BFDI to manage the name and brand in Egypt.
Furthermore, the standard owner manages the purchasing transactions of the EoL carbon credits shop.

EoL Service Provider
The Carbon Footprint Center (CFC) is an independent center of the Heliopolis University, Cairo. It is conducting environmental reports and advises on how to limit the causes of climate change and global warming.
The center is certified ISO 14064-1 2018 on specification with guidance at the organization level for quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals standard as well as ISO 14064-2:2019 on specification with guidance at the project level for quantification, monitoring, and reporting of greenhouse gas emission reductions or removal enhancements standard.
The CFC has developed a comprehensive and accurate coding system that monitors carbon credits. Each carbon credit certificate has a serial number that reflects the project name, farm code, issuing date, invoice number and amount of carbon that has been verified and validated by the COAE. This procedure ensures that double counting is avoided.
